We hosted two exciting sessions at #AICOG2026 focused on priority issues in reproductive health. One session convened officials from the Government of India and state governments alongside healthcare providers to examine the functioning of Medical Boards and the barriers and delays affecting access to late-term termination of pregnancy. The second session brought together healthcare providers and experts from national and global health organisations to discuss provision of newer contraceptive methods, with a focus on informed counselling and access to a wider range of contraceptive methods.
Together, the sessions enabled focused dialogue on practical and system-level reforms needed to improve access to essential services (abortion and contraception) for women.
