Vinoj Manning
Executive Director
Vinoj heads up a multi-disciplinary team of more than 100 staff based in 12 offices around the country. He oversees IDF's efforts to improve the environment for safe abortion and increase access to comprehensive contraceptive care in the country. Vinoj, who has more than two decades of marketing and program management experience, is particularly interested in strengthening the capacity of health systems to provide high-quality abortion and contraceptive care and improving the evidence base for the provision of safe abortion care. Before coming to Ipas in 2002, Vinoj worked with a variety of organizations, including the Swiss Development Cooperation, PATH and the National Dairy Development Board. He has a post-graduate diploma in rural management and a MBA Plus leadership certificate from the School of Business, Portland State University.

Avindra Mandwal
Senior Director - National Program
Avindra leads IDF's Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAC) program and Comprehensive Contraceptive Care (CCC) project. He joined Ipas in 2006, previously he worked with the Futures Group as state representative for Uttarakhand. He has extensive experience in marketing and sales in the public, corporate, and commercial sectors and as a consultant and program manager in reproductive health services, women and child development, women's empowerment, and food security, among other areas. Avindra holds a postgraduate diploma in business administration.

Sangeeta Batra
Senior Director - Health Systems
Sangeeta leads the Health Systems unit at IDF which focusses on capacity building of healthcare workers including strengthening of clinical and training skills of the providers. She has contributed towards creating a pool of master trainers for Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAC) training initiatives and a group of clinical mentors to support the service provision of trained providers. Sangeeta has played an important role in the development of the CAC training package, launched in 2014 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and continues to contribute towards development of new training documents. She has represented Ipas India and presented at various national and international fora. A gynecologist by qualification, Sangeeta has worked with various organizations in the field of public and reproductive health including Marie Stopes and PRIME/INTRAH.

Sushanta K. Banerjee
Senior Director - Research and Evaluation
Sushanta leads the Research and Evaluation team at IDF and is responsible for providing technical guidance and overseeing implementation of monitoring and evaluation efforts. He has led several large-scale surveys in India and worked with a variety of international organizations, including Population Services International (PSI), Futures Group International, Taylor Nelson Sofres India, and the International Institute for Population Sciences. Sushanta's research and evaluation works on population ageing and reproductive health are widely published in peer reviewed journals and edited books including, Ageing & Society, Asia Pacific Population Journal, EPW, Encounter, Global Public Health, IPSHR, IJOG, and Studies in Family Planning. Prior to his association with Ipas, Sushanta was the technical director of Population Services International (PSI) India His areas of expertise include monitoring and evaluating programs; designing studies; and developing evidence-based behaviour change communication strategy in social marketing; and reproductive and child health. He holds a master's degree and a doctoral degree in Demography. He also is a post-graduate in Economics with specialization in Econometrics.

Vasanthi Krishnan
Director - Programs
Vasanthi joined IDF in October 2014 as the Project Director for the Comprehensive Contraceptive Care project. She is a public health specialist with a master's in Community Medicine. Over the last three decades, she has made significant contribution to strengthening the health systems in the country through her work with the Government of India; UN agencies; and several International and national NGOs. Her recent achievements in HIV; and reproductive and child health include establishing the National Digital Resource Centre at NACO; and developing a district level training model for intra uterine contraceptive devices (IUCD) in 11 states; exploring the feasibility of providing IUCD 375 through public health system; and rolling out of trainings for ASHAs in Nischay pregnancy test card in the country. She has several reports, evaluation studies and documents to her credit.

Shenoy George Cherian
Director - Programs
Shenoy heads the Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAC) program at IDF and oversees a team of more than 60 staff based around the country. He oversees efforts to improve CAC trainings and service delivery. Shenoy has close to 13 years of experience in social marketing and program management and has worked on varied health projects aimed at improving service delivery among public and private sector health facilities. Prior to joining Ipas in 2013, Shenoy worked with Population Services International (PSI). He has a master's degree in Social Work.

Danish Umair Khan
Director - Programs
Danish heads the Community Access unit at IDF which implements various programs to improve women's access to safe abortion and contraception services across program states.
He has more than fifteen years of experience in the areas of program management, development communication, social mobilization, advocacy and capacity building. Before joining Ipas in 2008, he worked with various reputed national and international organizations such as UNICEF, NISD, UNODC and NIPCCD. He has a master's degree in Social Work from Aligarh Muslim University, and a certificate in Communication for Development from Ohio University.

Medha Gandhi
Director - Policy
Medha joined IDF in 2012 to lead the policy initiative and manage active engagement with government officials with a focus on advocating for increasing access to safe abortion services. In this role, she also leads the portfolio for engaging with partner organizations to advocate for CAC integration in the larger maternal health agenda. She has worked in the field of maternal health for over a decade, and her experience ranges from implementing large-scale programs at the community level to policy advocacy for improving maternal health services in India. Medha has previously worked with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, CARE India and CEDPA. She has a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Social Work.

Anisha Aggarwal
Director - Development and Communications
In addition to leading the fundraising and external communications efforts, Anisha builds on her association of over a decade with Ipas and contributes to the overall strategy and management of the organization. Her focus areas also include documentation of programs and results; and support to policy initiatives. Anisha is keenly interested in improving health care for young people; integrating reproductive rights with human rights; and analyzing impact of projects for improved planning and leveraging. She holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Rights Law from the National Law School, Bangalore; and a master's degree in Linguistics from the Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Jyoti Puri
Director - Human Resources
Jyoti Puri is Director Human Resources at IDF and ensures that HR policies, procedures and practices meet the standards of the organization. She is also responsible for overseeing the administration and office management functions. In her 15 years of extensive experience, Jyoti has served multiple international development organizations in the Asia region by defining and implementing various process including recruitment and selection process; contract management, performance management systems; and training and development. Prior to joining IDF, she worked with World Health Organization, CIMMYT, Dan Church Aid and American Red Cross. Jyoti holds a Master of Business Administration with specialization in Personnel Management, from Symbiosis Institute, Pune.

Pooja Sethi
Director - Finance
Pooja Sethi heads the Finance department at IDF. She is a Chartered Accountant by profession and earned her accountancy degree from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Prior to joining IDF, she worked in both the nonprofit and the for- profit sectors. She previously served as finance controller in Public Health Foundation of India and Director Finance in Helpage India.
